The Ithaca (NY) College Grad's clinics and training methods have helped mold the Husky's wrestling program into a NCWA Div. I progam of the highest quality. His tutoring and mentoring of student athletes have produced graduates prepared to enter the world as tomorrows leaders. His leadership & friendship will be missed by all. The UConn athletic community would like to wish Justin the best of luck on his future endeavors.

June 1, 2012-The Women's Wrestling program at UConn has gottten off the ground as it's first member has committed to compete intercollegiately for the Huskies in the 2012-13 season. Zipporah Drozdowicz has transferred to UConn from Jamestown (ND) College and is excited about the prospect of being the first to compete for a Nat'l championship in the NCWA women's division. The Sophomore Animal Science major from Orange, CT has competed at 130 lbs. for the Jamestown College women's progam which featured an exceptional team of 15 young ladies from around the country. The "Jimmies" are a powerhouse on the National level in the Women's College Wrestling Association (WCWA) who have placed as high as third in the Nat'ls and have several wrestlers competing for spots on the Women's Olympic team. The former High School State & New England Women's Champion also earned All-American honors with her 5th place finish at the women's Nat'l event and placed in other prestigious events. This is a big step for the Huskies wrestling program as they will now be represented at women's events locally as well as on the Nat'l level in the NCWA. Hopefully others will follow and the UConn Women's Program will be a force to be reckoned with real soon.
