Good first night......
WWC had its first offical practice tonight. We had 35 wrestlers show up and although we got a bit of a late start we had a good workout. Wrestlers from Ridgefield, Wilton, Danbury, Weston and Stamford made up the group.
Next practice is Wed 3/22 @ 7pm. The practice will be in the Student Center at RHS.

Westside Wrestling Camp
When: July 3rd-7th & 10th-14th (no camp July 4th)
Where: Scotts Ridge Middle School, Ridgefield
Time:9am-2pm
Cost: $250 full session/$150 half session
Camp will include daily group running, strength & conditioning, technical instruction, live drilling and wrestling. Guest speakers will discuss mental preperation, nutrition and other topics. Special instruction will be given for Freestyle & Greco as well as session on Judo for Wrestling.

Gary Tiger, Head Coach RHS (2006 NHSCA & FCIAC Coach of the Year)
Ricardo Lopes, Asst Coach RHS (2nd all-time takedown leader in CT history)

We are trying to see if we could pull together a Regional Team for the Freestyle Junior Duals in Oklahoma, called “Team New England”
Cadets and Graduating Seniors are allowed to compete in this event.
We will pull together a full package, which we expect to be below $500.00
The exact Travel dates will be known shortly, coach John Knapp is willing to commit to this trip, however, we need to make sure we can field a team of committed wrestlers.
We will only plan this trip if we have a minimum of 14 athletes competing.
